AC Power Adapter for laptop

Hi guys,

sorry writing in English. Don´t speak German.

I´m travelling to Germany and I have a AC Power Adapter for my laptop. Following is written on the label:

Input 100-230 V ~ 2A 50/60 Hz
Output 15-24V 4.5 A 65W Max

For sure I need a plug adapter (US pronged plug to a European round plug). But can I use this AC Power Adapter in Germany?

Can the 220 volts cause an overpower???

According to the data sheet, a voltage from 100 to 230 volt is required. Some power supplies have a switch, others recognize it automatically. So You must only check if there is a switch to change – if not, it should work fine.

In addition ... we have a mains voltage of 230V and not 220V here.

According to the specification, the device is able to handle voltages between 100 and 230 volts ...

Also the frequency range fits in ...

Only problem left, you have to find an adapter plug ...
