Using UK electrical appliances in Portugal?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me whether there would be a problem taking our dishwasher and washing machine over to our house in Portugal?Also when we went to an electrical store over in Portugal we noticed that the good were a lot more expensive, we need to buy a fridge and microwave - would it be best to buy from the UK and take it over in a transit?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

Goods that can be legally bought somewhere in the EU can be used anywhere in the EU.

That of course all changes after Brexit...

But the Plugs are different.

Some does fit but (like almost allways) the UK Plugs NOT in EU.

There are sold some Adapters, but I would Prefer to change the Plug of the mashine, especially with Items that use much Energy.

The travel adaptor is a bad choice as its made for temporary use only.

The best option without cutting the lead would be to replace the socket.
